Made With- Sustainably harvested cork from Portugal, the Cork is harvested by stripping the bark of the Cork Oak Tree and as the tree regrows it's bark absorbs up to 3 times more C02 from the air and continues to grow unaffected by this process. Cork is a non- toxic substance and hypoallergenic for sensitive skin.
Grip- Cork is a wonderful option for gentle yoga, meditation, stretching and high intensity or hot yoga practices. Many materials become slippery with moisture, where cork works the opposite. As cork is exposed to moisture, it naturally releases a slightly waxy compound called Suberin. Your cork block will actually become more grippy as it is get's wetter. We want you to feel firmly rooted in your practice without the distraction of losing focus and balance with a slippery block.
Texture- Our cork blocks have a comfortable firm feel & stable support, while remaining especially durable and strong.
Art- Each block is carefully engraved with intentional hand-drawn art work. No chance of cracking or chipping of design, as each design has been gently burned into the cork.
